Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) is a federal public health agency. It provides health information to prevent harmful exposures and diseases related to toxic substances. ATSDR is not a regulatory agency, unlike the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which is the federal agency that develops and enforces environmental laws to protect the environment and human health.

Exploring the Environment
Part of NASA's Classroom for the Future, Exploring the Environment provides tools to help teachers make students more environmentally aware and to acquire the values and attitudes necessary for sustainable development. Exploring the Environment (NASA Classroom of the Future)
This extensive site provides an array of modules teachers and students can use to explore Earth and the environment. Features problem-based learning so students can investigate scientific, social, political, and cultural aspects of controversial, authentic environmental problems. Standard problem-solving models, online resources that include relevant satellite imagery, and recommendations for extended inquiry are available to students.
